01Initial consultation and personalised targets
Your programme starts with a detailed consultation. Steve takes your weight, waist and hip measurements and discusses your goals, eating habits, daily routine, training and lifestyle.
Steve uses Martin MacDonald’s Aggressive Dieting calculator as a professional planning tool to calculate your individual calorie and macronutrient targets. These targets are then built into your personalised Empower Nutrition plan, which you receive and follow.
02Two weeks to prepare
Before the 12-week weight-loss phase begins, you have two weeks to become familiar with the food choices, practise your meals and organise your routine.
This preparation period is not an extra two weeks of aggressive dieting. It gives you time to understand the plan, establish regular meals and prepare your home, shopping and schedule so you can start with confidence.
03Twelve weeks of structured weight loss
You then begin your personalised 12-week plan. Your targets are based on your assessment and calculator output; in Steve’s current delivery, calorie targets are typically between 1,000 and 1,300 kcal per day.
Because this is a restrictive, time-limited approach, progress and suitability are reviewed throughout. Your plan is not left on autopilot.
04Support and feedback every fortnight
Every two weeks, Steve reviews your food intake and sends you a personalised food report. You also meet with him in person or by call to discuss your progress, hunger, energy, routine, food choices and any difficulties you are experiencing.
Your plan can be adjusted where appropriate, and your weight, waist and hip measurements are used to track progress beyond a single number on the scales.
05Week 6 deep dive
At week 6, you meet Steve in person for a more detailed review. Together, you assess your results, revisit your measurements and work through anything that could affect the second half of the programme.
06Week 12 final review and next steps
At the end of week 12, you return for your final in-person review. You will look at your results, the habits and skills you have developed, and the best route forward.
Your next step may be a transition towards maintenance, a different nutrition phase or ongoing support through Empower Nutrition membership. The goal is to avoid finishing the programme without a plan for what comes next.
